Report: Man hits woman with his vehicle

A 44-year old Rome man was arrested early Thursday on aggravated assault charges after intentionally striking a woman with his vehicle.

According to Floyd County Jail records, the impact caused the victim to fall onto the concrete and sustain a swollen lip.

Luther Dwayne Webb also cut all four tires on the woman’s vehicle with a pocket knife, resulting in a charge of 2nd-degree criminal damage to property.

The incident occurred at Webb’s East 12th Street residence, according to the report.
