First freeze of the season this weekend

For all of those who have been wishing for colder weather, your wish is about to be granted. 

Our first freeze will happen this weekend with temps dropping into the upper 20s lower 30s overnight in most of northwest Georgia. 

Forecasters say that the temperature will drop below freezing between 3 AM and 10 AM on Saturday.

The National Weather Service is reminding residents of these areas to take steps in protecting outside vegetation and pets.
