The former Rome-Floyd Recycling Center on Watters Street has a new owner.
On Tuesday, the Floyd County Commission approved the sale of the property to Eddie Hasko for $30,000.
The property was put out for bids twice, with Hasko being the lone bidder.
The property was part of the old Fox Manufacturing site and is still on the Georgia Environmental Protection Division’s Hazardous Site Inventory.
It has deemed the site safe to use, but you cannot disturb the soil.
Hasko plans to use it for storage.
