According to a statement from Xfinity (Comcast), a tree fell on a cable line in the area of the railroad tracks at Calhoun Avenue and Highway 53 early Monday morning.
A train then struck the line.
Repairs were made and service was restored late Monday afternoon.

The outage impacts the internet, television, and voice.
According to the company’s outage map, the issue is expected to be resolved by 5 p.m.
