Report: Man threw object at officer’s face

An East Point, Georgia man was arrested on a felony obstruction charge after he allegedly threw an object at a Floyd County Police Officer.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 39-year old Larry Don Pruitt Jr. failed to obey police commands to stay out of the roadway.

He then reached into his pocket and threw an unidentified object at the officer’s face.

Police had responded to the area after 911 received calls about a man riding a bicycle in front of traffic on Old Rockmart Road.

Pruitt is also charged with disorderly conduct, pedestrian under the influence, pedestrian darting into traffic, and misdemeanor obstruction.
