(via WZQZ) Summerville Police are looking for a driver who jumped out of a vehicle on Bittings Avenue on Christmas Eve after an officer attempted a traffic stop.
According to the report released late last week by the Summerville Police Department, a patrol officer attempted to stop a black, 2009 Dodge Journey that was speeding on Scoggins Street. The officer stopped the car behind Hammond Auto Parts and the driver jumped out and ran – leaving the keys in the ignition.
Police say that the vehicle was later reported stolen by a Summerville resident. Torria Ludy told police that someone had stolen the Dodge from her residence on Hawkins Drive. Ms. Ludy provided investigators with two names of possible suspects.
Police say that they found four car seats, menthol cigarettes and Ms. Ludy’s black wallet in the car.
The case is being investigated by the Summerville Police Department.
