City commission to consider licenses suspensions for El Patron

January 26, 2020–4:46 p.m.

STAFF REPORTS

The Rome City Commission will consider the suspension of the entertainment and beer pouring licenses at El Patron on Redmond Circle when they meet Monday night.

The Alcohol Control Commission recommended the suspensions until their next meeting on February 17 due to an excessive noise violation that occurred on November 23.

There have been a number of hearings before the ACC regarding El Patron since 2014, primarily for noise violations but also for fighting, the manager drinking while on duty, overcrowding, and after-hours alcohol sales.

Also on tonight’s city commission agenda is a resolution regarding a historic resources survey and a public hearing regarding the re-adoption of the Unified Land Development Code and zoning maps.

The commission will recognize city employees and hand out service pins during the meeting which begins at 6:30 p.m. at Rome City Hall.

During the caucus which begins at 5 p.m., commissioners will hear an update on the transit development plan.
