February 8, 2020–10:45 a.m.

STAFF REPORTS

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. for Floyd, Bartow, Chattooga, Polk and Paulding Counties.

Wet snow is falling.

Total snow accumulation up to two inches possible mainly north of Rome to Kennesaw to Lawrenceville.

Plan for slippery roads.

There has been an automobile accident in Silver Creek on Highway 101 just before the spur.

Temperatures should drop below freezing again tonight…making black ice possible on Sunday morning.

Gordon, Dade, Whitfield, Walker, Catoosa and Cherokee Counties are under a Winter Storm Warning until 4 p.m.

Look for heavy wet snow.

Additional snow accumulations of up to three inches.
