Floyd County Board of Commissioners –
Due to the current coronavirus pandemic, the Floyd County Board of Voter Registration and Elections will not be opening additional advance voting locations next week at the Rome Civic Center. Our office puts the safety of our voters and poll workers above all else and, given the current CDC, Governor’s Office, the Office of the Secretary of State, and the Floyd County Commission, along with other agency recommendations, we felt this was a necessary course of action to limit community gatherings, to protect the public good.
All Floyd County voters will continue to be able to vote at the Floyd County Administration Building in the Community Room on the second floor for the remainder of the Early Voting Period ending on March 20, 2020.
Both the Administration Building, and The Rome Civic Center will be open Saturday March 14, 2020 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm to accommodate voter needs, and the Rome Civic Center will also be open from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm Sunday March 15, 2020 to further accommodate voter needs.
All voting precinct locations are planned to be open from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm March 24, 2020 to conduct the Georgia Presidential Preference Primary.
The Voters of Floyd County are also encouraged to make use of the Absentee by Mail process to cast their votes. For more information, or to obtain an Application for an Absentee Ballot contact the Floyd County Office of Elections and Registration located in Suite 20 of the Floyd County Administration Building, 12 E. 4th Ave. Rome Georgia or call 706-291-5168.
