Jail officers sustains a broken leg in scuffle with inmate

An inmate at the Floyd County Jail is facing additional charges after a scuffle that left one officer with a broken leg.

According to jail records, 23-year old Michelle Cutright-Cox of Taylorsville, while physically resisting, caused the officer’s leg to be injured.

An X-ray confirmed it was broken.

Cutright-Cox, who has been in jail since October is additionally charged with aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, felony obstruction of officers, and simple battery on a law enforcement officer.
