Rome, GA Police Department Press Release –
“A week that we observe in the United States that pays tribute to the local, state, and federal
peace officers who have died, or who have been injured in the line of duty.
Our annual remembrance ceremony scheduled Friday, May 15, 2020 will not be held this year
in compliance with social distancing. However, this week we will still remember and honor
those who have lost their lives in Rome and Floyd County.
As we remember the sacrifices made by these men and women we also thank those who are
serving today on the front lines keeping the community safe.”
