The following is a press Release from the Rome/Floyd Fire Department:

Rome/Floyd Fire Department in conjunction with Rome City Water Department will be conducting hydrant flow testing in the downtown area beginning at 12:30AM on May 20th.

The area affected will be the areas between the rivers from Turner McCall Blvd to East 2nd Ave. and Glen Milner Blvd to West 13th Street.

This testing is required by ISO (Insurance Services Office) and the results of the testing helps set insurance premiums for the residences of Rome and Floyd county.

You may see fire department vehicles in your area during early morning hours of May 20th in your neighborhood.

Our plan is to inconvenience you as little as possible – Rome/Floyd Fire Department and The City of Rome Water Department are proud to serve you and appreciate your support.
