Atlanta Braves to Bring Their Home Plate Project to Rome This Friday, May 29

Atlanta Braves Baseball Club –

 In partnership with Braves concessionaire, Delaware North, the Braves launched the Braves Home Plate Project last month to respond to food insecurity needs across Braves Country.  Led by Chef Pete Smithing, the kitchens at Truist Park prep food purchased for their April games and create meals for the community.

As a part of the program, the Braves will deploy their Los Bravos food truck to join hunger relief efforts underway in communities across Braves Country, including Rome, Georgia this Friday, May 29.

The Atlanta Braves and Rome Braves will prepare approximately 650 meals for essential staff at Redmond Regional Medical Center, who are on the frontlines of the COVID-19 fight.

In addition to the meal delivery program, Global Center for Medical Innovation will donate personal protective equipment (PPE) including face shields and hand sanitizer to Redmond Regional Medical Center to help keep healthcare workers safe.
