Cartersville City Manager Announces Resignation from Office

City of Cartersville Government – 

Tamara Brock announced her resignation as City Manager to Cartersville Mayor and City Council on Thursday evening, August 6th.

“I am appreciative of the opportunities both Mayor and Council have afforded me during my tenure with the City. My departure leads me to a position with the Georgia Department of Economic Development, aligning my career with work that supports my passion. I look forward to continuing to support the best interests of the City in that capacity.”

Brock has served as City Manager since June of 2018, though she has been with the City in various capacities since 2007.
She began her career with the City as the Key Accounts Manager for the Cartersville Electric System in 2007. In 2015, she was named Utility Accounts and Development Manager for the City of Cartersville.

Brock was promoted to Assistant City Manager for utilities in 2017, where she worked closely with the City’s gas, water and electric utilities.

“It has been an honor to serve with the employees of Cartersville as well as Mayor and Council. They work diligently to do what is best for the City to serve our citizens. I know Cartersville will only continue to grow and thrive. I look forward to what the future holds for the City.”

Brock’s official last day as City Manager will be September 1st.
