The City of Rome Government –
The City of Rome invites citizens to a public forum on the River District Streetscape to be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Courtyard Rome River Walk. During this public workshop, citizens are invited to share input on how to recreate the River District’s streets.
Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood Consultants (GMC) will present proposed plans and provide opportunities for public input on the proposals. GMC will open the public forum with a presentation, followed by informal questions and answers from the public. The presentation portion of the forum will be live streamed on the City of Rome, Ga- Government Facebook page.
The public is welcome to drop in at any time to view the proposed plans and provide input. The public is also invited to submit comments after the presentation via email at: [email protected]
The streetscape project is a 2017 SPLOST funded project. The revitalization project serves to help enhance and build the character of the River District while serving as a gateway to downtown.
The Courtyard Rome Riverwalk is located at 320 W. 3rd Street. Chairs will be setup to allow for social distancing, however everyone in attendance is asked to wear a mask.
