October 5, 2020–11:50 a.m.

NEWS RELEASE

U.S. News recently named Berry College #1 for best value, #3 for its commitment to undergraduate teaching, and #4 overall for regional universities in the South.

The “best undergraduate teaching” ranking asks college administrators and top professors to name schools they believe have above-average faculty resources. U.S. News focuses on schools where faculty and administrators are committed to teaching undergraduates effectively. Berry is known for its 11:1 student to faculty ratio. The institution also focuses on providing a wide network of lifelong mentors and advisors to students.

Berry consistently attracts students and faculty who embrace our unique educational mission, which encourages academic excellence through intellectual exploration, as well as practical learning experiences and spiritual growth.  Not only are students attracted to this education, but they increasingly recognize the value it provides both here and after they graduate.  I’m excited that Berry is being recognized for what we’ve known on campus all along,” said Berry Vice President for Enrollment Management Andrew Bressette.

In other notable areas,  Berry tied with Cornell University and was just behind Brown University for “stellar service learning.” And Berry was #51 in the nation for its “first-year experiences, beating out Rice University and Stanford University among others.

Berry was also named #7 in the list of most innovative schools in the South.
