(Via the Gordon Gazette) Calhoun Fire has left the scene of an exterior container explosion on the property of Battery Recycling Made Easy (BRME), located on South River Street, that occurred Wednesday night.
River Street was blocked most of the night while CFD worked the blaze; one firefighter was injured and sent to the hospital but was treated and released.
This morning, there is still smoke in the downtown area but air quality has been deemed safe.
