Gas prices hold stady

Georgia gas prices continue to hold steady at the pump compared to a week ago.

The state average price for gasoline is $2.00 per gallon, yet drivers in some Georgia cities are finding prices below $1.90 a gallon.

It now costs motorists $30.00 to fill a 15-gallon tank of gasoline; that is $11.10 less than what motorists paid in April of 2019 when pump prices hit their peak of $2.74 per gallon.

As demand declines gas prices will likely continue to drop due to fewer road trips taken in the fall.

Local averages on Monday were $1.92 in Floyd County, $1.96 in Gordon County, $2.00 in Bartow County, $1.98 in Polk County, and $1.91 in Chattooga County.
