Four more COVID-19 deaths in Northwest Georgia

Two more Floyd County residents have died from COVID-19.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, the death toll as of Wednesday was 57 since the start of the pandemic, up from 55 on Tuesday.

Total cases in Floyd County were at 3,710, up by 43 from the day before.

Bartow County reported another death Wednesday for a total of 94.

3,443 Bartow County residents have tested positive, up by 31 from Tuesday’s report.

Gordon County is now at 2,235 total cases up by 39 from Tuesday.

Gordon County also reported another death for a total of 43.

Chattooga County is now at 888 total confirmed COVID-19 cases, up from 881 in Tuesday’s report, and 28 total deaths, up one.

Polk County reported 1,649 total cases as of Wednesday, up by nine from Tuesday, and no additional deaths.

Statewide we are at 343,750 total cases, up by 1,352 from the previous day.

7,704 Georgia residents have died since the start of the pandemic, an increase of 30 from Tuesday’s report.
