Three charged with aggravated assault in separate incidents

A 44-year old Rome man was arrested Wednesday at his Martha Berry Boulevard residence after allegedly attacking another person with a knife.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Douglas Edward Davis Jr. used the kitchen knife to puncture the victim’s left arm, causing a serious bodily injury.

Davis is charged with aggravated assault.

 

A 28-year old Rome man was arrested on multiple charges following an incident back on November 24 at his Alabama Highway apartment.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Lamar Raymon Lashley pushed a woman into a wall during a physical altercation and then cut off her airway by squeezing her throat with his hands.

The victim’s daughter went to call 911 and Lashley reportedly pulled the child down the stairs and into the wall to take the phone away.

Lashley then left the residence with the phone.

He is charged with aggravated assault, 1st-degree cruelty to children, obstructing a person from making a 911 call, criminal trespass (damage to property), theft by taking, and simple battery.

 

A 34-year old Rome man was arrested in connection with an incident at his Mathis Drive home back on November 26.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Robert Allen Anderson punched a woman in the face and then grabbed her by the throat with enough force to cause bruising and swelling as well as rendering her unable to eat or swallow.

Anderson also reportedly kept the victim from leaving the residence by grabbing her and physically restraining her.

Anderson is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, battery, and false imprisonment.
