FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS
A 57-year old Rome man was arrested at his Charlton Street home over the weekend on felony warrants charging him with robbery, aggravated assault, aggravated battery and elder abuse.
According to the warrants, David Michael Day strangled and struck the 73-year old victim in the head several times.
The victim sustained a torn esophagus and a fractured jaw.
The victim also had several teeth knocked out.
Day then allegedly took the victim’s cell phone.
