The following press release is from the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office:
“Beginning January 1st, 2021, the Floyd County Jail remote visitation system will be temporarily disconnected for approximately 4-6 weeks.
This takes effect at midnight, December 31st,2020, because Adobe Flash will no longer facilitate remote visitation on our equipment.
Therefore, we are upgrading our equipment and software and hope to have remote visitation back online by March 2021.
Due to these circumstances, the following will go into effect on Monday, January 4th, 2021 at 8am.
– Public Visitation will take place in person at the Floyd County Jail Visitation Center, Monday thru Thursday.
– Our Criminal Justice Partners will have Fridays set aside for visits, but may also set up visits Monday thru
Thursday along with the public if desired.
– Inmates will be able to have one 15-minute visit per week.
– Public visits will be available Monday thru Thursday from 9am – 11am and 1pm – 5pm.
-Visits can be scheduled by contacting 706-314-6211 Monday thru Friday 8am – 5pm
-Masks will be MANDATORY, gloves are recommended.
*Due to PPE shortages the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office will not be able to provide masks or gloves.
