STAFF REPORTS
The Rome Alcohol Control Commission will consider an ordinance amendment allowing for the home deliveries of alcoholic beverages when it meets Monday afternoon.
The ordinance would mirror a state law passed last year that allows licensed alcohol retailers to deliver unopened alcoholic beverages in the original container to customer’s homes.
The customer must be 21 and show identification at the door.
Another part of the ordinance would allow the city to pull the alcohol license of retailers who owe outstanding debts to the city.
The ACC meeting begins at 5 p.m. at Rome City Hall.
