STAFF REPORTS
The Rome Alcohol Control Commission is recommending approval of an ordinance amendment pertaining to packages sales of alcohol on Sundays.
If approved by the full Rome City Commission, retailers will be able sell malt beverages, wine, and liquor by the package beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Sundays.
Two other proposed ordinance amendments got a “no” from the ACC.
One would have permitted the home delivery of alcoholic beverages while the other would have allowed the city to pull the alcohol license of retailers who owe outstanding debts to the city.
