Area residents have a number of opportunities to get a free COVID-19 vaccine Friday and Saturday.
Friday, Floyd Medical Center will be administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Rome Community Kitchen, located at 4 Calhoun Avenue.
No registration is required.
On Saturday, Polk Medical Center will be providing the Pfizer vaccine from 8 a.m. to noon at the hospital.

Also Saturday, Redmond Regional Medical Center team up with Thankful Baptist Church for a COVID-19 vaccine clinic.
It will be from 9 a.m. until noon at the Thankful Baptist Church Life Center, located on Spider Webb Drive
Everyone 16 and older in Georgia are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that 16-year-olds receive the Pfizer vaccine.
