CARTERSVILLE POLICE REPORTS
A 23-year old Cartersville man was arrested following a police pursuit on Tuesday.
According to Cartersville Police reports, an officer attempted to stop a vehicle on West Avenue for attempting to pass on a double yellow line. The vehicle also did not have a license plate.
The driver failed to stop, reaching speeds of close to 100 miles per hour.
The vehicle ended up in someone’s yard when the driver attempted to turn onto Terrell Drive.
The vehicle spun out and turned back on to West Avenue and police made the decision to call off the pursuit.
The suspect vehicle then left the roadway, driving into several yards on Lee Street before the driver, identified as Anthony LaChris Beeman, got out and fled on foot.
He was eventually located and arrested on multiple charges.
