ROME POLICE REPORT
Rome Police responded to Broad Street Friday evening in reference to multiple gunshots being fired in the area of Jefferson’s.
The incident occurred at around 9:51 p.m.
According to the incident report, no one was shot but the suspects fled in a black passenger vehicle, occupied three younger males.
Witnesses stated the vehicle, believed to be a Nissan Altima, had circled the restaurant numerous times.
As a group of juveniles were walking on the northbound sidewalk, the vehicle stopped beside them and someone inside the car started shooting.
Police recovered two spent .380 caliber shell casing that were located in the roadway.
The investigation is continuing.
