An inmate at the Floyd County Prison is facing multiple charges after allegedly assaulting corrections officers back on June 28.
According to Floyd County Jail records, 19-year old Kolby Robert Young of Acworth swung a sock containing a couple of combination locks at officers, striking one of them in the face at least three times.
He also reportedly resisted officers as they were trying to restrain him.
Young is charged with aggravated assault; aggravated battery; assailing, opposing, or resisting officers in a penal institution; unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution; and possession of items prohibited for inmates.
