A Rome man was arrested at a Burnett Ferry Road address at 12:19 AM on Monday morning after he allegedly discharging a firearm inside of a residence.
According to Floyd County Jail records, a 67-year-old Richard Brewer shot a gun multiple times inside his father’s home while it was occupied by two other people, and 550 yards away from a public roadway.
$500 worth of damage was done to the property as a result of the incident.
Brewer is being charged with Felony Criminal Damage in the 2nd degree, discharge of a firearm near a highway, and reckless conduct.
