A Rome man was arrested after trespassing onto a property and placing four people at the residence in fear of being violently injured.
According to Floyd County Jail records, 59-year-old James Hampton Goss of Rome allegedly trespassed on a property and was told multiple times to leave by a victim.
The jail report states that Goss then charged at the victim reaching for their neck. Goss also tried to force entry into the home by violently pounding on a glass screen door while loudly making threats, causing three other victims inside the residence to be in fear of their safety – two of which were juvenile victims.
Goss is being charged with 2 counts of felony cruelty to children in the 2nd degree, simple assault, terroristic threats & acts, disorderly conduct, and criminal trespass.
