Rome Rotary donates N95 masks for first responders

January 27, 2022–10:35 a.m.

CITY OF ROME

Local public safety personnel will be better protected from exposure to COVID-19 when they go out on a call.

The Rome Rotary Club has made a donation of 4,500 N95 masks that will go to the police, firefighters, and other first responders.

The donation was made during the Rome City Commission’s caucus on Monday.

Public health officials say that N95 masks provide better protection than cloth masks.
