Parent group seeking to keep students in Cave Spring

February 13, 2022–6:17 p.m.

STAFF REPORTS

The group says the proposed Cave Spring Learning Center would serve students in grades K-3 or K-5 over the next two school years via a partnership with the Georgia Cyber Academy.

They are gathering Letters of Interest to determine whether or not there is sufficient interest to warrant them moving forward with planning to serve students this fall.

A public meeting is scheduled for Saturday, February 26 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Cave Spring Community Center behind city hall. All interested citizens (especially parents) are encouraged to attend.

There have been other proposals put forward for the use of the campus after the school closes at the end of this school year.

For instance, the Cave Spring Community Coalition is asking for the building to be used as a comprehensive community center.
