Westbound traffic was limited on Alabama Highway Thursday morning as crews worked to clean up wood chips.
According to Floyd County Police, the truck driver was going too fast while negotiating the ramp to Georgia Loop 1, and the vehicle overturned, spilling the chips onto the roadway.
The driver was not injured but was transported to the hospital for a medical issue unrelated to the cause of the crash.
He was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
The Georgia Motor Carrier Compliance Division is investigating the wreck.
