The Floyd County Police Department reported that they got to share a special moment with a WW2 flying ace this morning at the Richard B Russell Airport.
Captain James McCubbin served in the Air Force between 1944 and 1951.
Today he was reunited with a P51 fighter plane which is like the one he flew in the war.
He is credited with 9 kills.
