A 43-year-old Rome man was jailed Tuesday on charges of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, kidnapping, and theft by taking.
According to Floyd County Jail records, Rory Lushon Chatman threw a brick through the front passenger side window of a vehicle, striking the victim on her right forearm and right upper thigh.
The victim also sustained cuts to her legs, arms, and hands from the shattered glass.
Chatman also hit the victim’s legs with a vehicle, causing her to be unable to walk.
He then bit the victim, stopped her from calling for help, and held her against her will.
Chatman also took a cell phone and cash from the victim’s vehicle.
The incident occurred May 22 on Chambers Street.
