STAFF REPORTS
The Rome City Commission is expected to adopt the millage rate following a third and final public hearing Monday night.
The proposed combined rates for the City government and City Schools of 27.276 will result in no increase in millage rate from the prior year but will be an increase of 4.7% over the calculated rollback rate.
Commissioners will also consider rezoning requests for two duplexes on Lyons Drive and a proposed neighborhood of 140 single-family detached homes on North Broad Street.
A special use permit to convert the Comfort Inn & Suites on Chateau Drive into micro apartments is also on the agenda.
A rezoning request for a three-acre tract at 1352 Redmond Circle that would be marketed for the future development of a commercial-retail center will also go before the commission.
Monday’s city commission meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at Rome City Hall.
