Demolition of the East Rome Dairy Queen structure is underway.
The building is being torn down to make way for The Varsity.
In December, it was announced that Toles, Temple & Wright Real Estate was assisting The Varsity Restaurants in securing a location in Rome.
It was then revealed the planned site was the Dairy Queen location at 879 Spider Web Drive.
The Varsity is expected to open in 2023.
