A 54-year-old Silver Creek man has been charged with 1st-degree homicide by vehicle in connection with a wreck back on July 16 on Pleasant Valley Road.
According to the arrest warrant, Virgil Daniel Grant was driving under the influence when he caused the wreck that claimed the life of a passenger in his vehicle.
The accident report stated that Grant’s vehicle left the roadway and sideswiped two trees.
It continued to travel halfway on the road and halfway on the shoulder until it struck a third tree.
Grant was also charged with possession of methamphetamine.
