A ribbon-cutting for improvements at the Riverview Park Complex is scheduled for September 9.
The park located behind the levee has received several facelifts over the years, including renovations made possible by SPLOST dollars in the early 1990s.
The current improvements to Riverview Park total almost $750,000.
This round of funding was made possible by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
The improvements include new LED Field lighting throughout the park, and inside the baseball buildings along with new fencing around baseball fields, new playground equipment, the addition of an ADA lift to the main baseball building, and the re-painting of the outside and inside of the baseball buildings.
