Once a year in September, approximately 250 citizens of Rome and Floyd County dine together in fellowship on the John Ross Walking Bridge, spanning the Oostanaula River in downtown Rome.
The event is the major fundraiser for One Community United and will be held on September 18 at 6:30 p.m.
It provides a visible, living testimony to the group’s mission: to seek racial harmony and the melding of distinct communities into a more united community.
Food for the event will be furnished by local merchants.
