Entries are being sought for the Downtown Rome Christmas Parade through November 15th.
Entry forms can be found online at RomeChristmasParade.com
The entry fee is $100 but after November 15th it will increase to $150.
All funds collected through entry fees are earmarked for Christmas decorations in Rome.
The theme this year is “Joys of Christmas”
No one is allowed to dress as Santa. This is very important. There is only one Santa and he is in the sleigh at the end of the parade.
1. No candy or materials may be handed out along the parade route by any unit or walkers.
2. Each entry may have only 2 motorized vehicles. (Only exceptions are bicycle and motorcycle units. Motorcycle units are limited to 10.)
This year’s Grand Marshal will be revealed at a breakfast sponsored by First National Community Bank at the Coosa Country Club on November 22.
The parade is being planned for November 29 at 6:30. The backup rain date is December 1st.
