Home builder Ivy Lowrey, licensed REALTOR at Toles, Temple & Wright, Inc., was recently named the president of the Rome Home Builders Association (RHBA). As such, she became the association’s first-ever female board president. Formed in 1956, the RHBA is a membership-based organization of professionals dedicated to promoting, educating, and advocating the advancement of the residential construction industry.
Lowrey has also been tapped to serve at the state level on the Home Builders Association of Georgia’s board of directors.
“We are very fortunate to have Ivy leading our organization! She is especially tuned in to the industry, both locally and state-wide,” said Connie Mathis, RHBA executive officer. “Ivy brings ideas and talents to the work we do in the community, and she advocates for builders and the industry regularly.”
Lowrey’s involvement with the RHBA includes serving on the board of directors and being active in various programs and initiatives sponsored by the organization, including scholarships for college students obtaining a certificate or degree in a related field, handicap ramp installations, and golf tournament and cash raffle fundraisers.
Next week Lowrey will give the official welcome at a luncheon presented by the Rome Home Builders Association featuring Jeffrey Dorfman, state fiscal economist and professor of applied economics at the University of Georgia. Dorfman will present the economic outlook for Georgia and the housing market. The ticketed event is sponsored by Toles, Temple & Wright and takes place on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 12 – 1:30 p.m., at the Coosa Country Club. For ticket availability, please call 706.766.0079.
After successfully establishing Ivy Lowrey, Inc., her home-building business, the Jonesboro native obtained her real estate license and joined Toles, Temple & Wright in 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University, where she majored in family, child, and consumer sciences, with a focus on housing. Lowrey is a member of the Georgia Association of REALTORS, Greater Rome Board of REALTORS, National Association of REALTORS, and the Rome Floyd Chamber of Commerce.
