Report: Woman rammed vehicle, held knife to woman’s throat

A Rome woman is accused of using her vehicle as a weapon against another person.

According to the arrest warrant:

27-year-old Takia Yarnetta Price rammed the rear of the car while the victim was inside.

The incident occurred on Feb. 10 at a location on Ashland Park Boulevard.

Price also reportedly held a knife to the victim’s throat.

Price and the victim had reportedly been in a relationship and lived together about a year ago.

Price is charged with aggravated assault, stalking, 2nd-degree criminal damage to property, and hit and run.

Man charged with aggravated assault

A 37-year-old Rome man has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with aggravated assault.

According to the warrant:

Charles Edward Pollard III threw an ashtray at a woman. The ashtray broke, causing a cut to the victim’s chest area.

He also slammed the victim to the floor and began choking her, leaving marks around her neck.

The incident occurred in September of last year, according to the warrant.

Report: Woman punched police officer

A Rome woman is facing charges of aggravated battery on a police officer, obstruction, and DUI following her arrest Sunday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

27-year-old Deanna Christina Martinez punched the officer in the face with her fist and handcuffs during a traffic stop on Martha Berry Boulevard.

The officer suffered an injury to the left side of her face, according to the report.
