Man accused of cashing in another stolen lottery ticket

A Rockmart man, already in the Floyd County Jail, is now facing a fifth count of falsely making, altering, forging, or counterfeiting tickets.

According to jail records:

30-year-old Zachary Logan Adams received money from the stolen ticket at a store on Shorter Avenue.

Adams had previously been charged for cashing in two stolen lottery tickets at a store on Garden Lakes Boulevard and then receiving two more tickets in return.

Woman arrested late last week facing additional charges

A 22-year-old Rome woman arrested late last week for allegedly using counterfeit $100 bills at three local restaurants is facing additional charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Brooke Cheyenne Reynolds stole more than $500 in power tools from a hardware store on Shorter Avenue back on Jan. 30 and has now been charged with felony theft by shoplifting.

She is also charged with a felony count of false statements and writings in connection with an incident on Feb. 16.

According to the report, Reynolds was stopped by police on Dean Avenue at East 12th Street for holding her cell phone while driving.

She then gave police her sister’s name and date of birth and then signed that name to the citation.

Report: Man stole Ford Focus

A man originally arrested Saturday on shoplifting charges is now facing a felony count of theft by taking a motor vehicle.

According to the arrest warrant:

42-year-old Terry Eugene Edmondson took a 2007 Ford Focus, valued at $17,000, from a location on Calhoun Avenue back on Feb. 16.

Shannon man charged with meth possession

A 47-year-old Shannon man was arrested Monday for possession of methamphetamine.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Charles Kevin Reese was found with a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine in his right front pocket at a location on Shannon Road.
