Two accused of making threats
A man and a woman were arrested at a residence on Dublin Circle Tuesday on felony charges of terroristic threats and acts.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
46-year-old Chasity Dawn Fowler told the victim “If you come back on my property, I’ll shoot you.”
Meanwhile, 57-year-old Daniel Norman Labonte used a truck to prevent the victims from leaving and told them he was going to get a gun and shoot them.
Labonte was additionally charged with false imprisonment.
Drug arrests made on Martha Berry Boulevard
Two people were arrested on Martha Berry Boulevard on drug charges Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
54-year-old Japhus Lamar Wright Jr. had a substance believed to be methamphetamine in his pants and was seen trying to hide a glass smoking pipe.
He is also accused of attempting to evade arrest by pulling away and not following orders from police.
He is charged with possession of meth, possession of drug-related objects, obstruction of officers, and a probation violation.
Meanwhile, 34-year-old Ariel Marcellus Wright was found with a pill identified as hydrocodone in his right front pants pocket.
He is charged with possession of a controlled substance and a probation violation.
K9 search leads to drug arrest
A Rome man was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Turner McCall Boulevard Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
A Rome Police Department K9 conducted a “free air” sniff which resulted in a search of the vehicle.
A prescription bottle containing phentermine was recovered.
58-year-old Michael Patrick Conrad was also found with a baggie of methamphetamine, a baggie of heroin, a Vyvanse pill, and two unknown pills.
Conrad is charged with possession of Schedule I, II, and IV controlled substances, possession of meth, possession of drugs in the original container, and no license tag.
