An arrest has been made in the shooting of a teenager at Banty Jones Park back on April 12.
According to an arrest warrant at the Floyd County Jail:
18-year-old Zaterrian Jermaine Osborne shot the 15-year-old victim in the abdomen.
The victim was taken to Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center by private vehicle for treatment.
When police attempted to detain Osborne on Wilson Avenue at Charles Street on Friday, he tried to run.
He was then found with a bag of suspected marijuana and a handgun.
Osborne is charged with aggravated assault, obstruction of officers, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
