Report: Woman shoved deputy
A Rome woman was arrested at her Olmstead Street home Tuesday after she allegedly shoved a Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputy.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Deputies were at the home of 26-year-old Rejiya Jackson to serve an arrest warrant on another person when the incident occurred.
Jackson was holding a child at the time of the confrontation with the deputy.
She is charged with felony and misdemeanor obstruction of law enforcement, simple battery on a law enforcement officer, and 3rd-degree cruelty to children.
Man accused of stealing trailers, tools, and boating equipment
A Summerville man was booked into the Floyd County Jail Tuesday on two felony warrants charging him with theft by taking.
According to the warrants:
50-year-old Eric Shon Burke stole a 2008 Lone Wolf trailer, a Kobalt miter saw, and a Black & Decker jigsaw from a location on Huffaker Road on May 10.
Then on May 21, Burke took a trailer loaded with boating equipment from a location on Friday Road.
The combined value of the items was listed at $3,840.
Report: Man pulled out woman’s hair weave, damaged property
A 33-year-old Rome man was jailed Tuesday on a misdemeanor count of battery and a felony count of 2nd-degree criminal damage to property.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Christopher Michael Brown punched a woman in the face and pulled out her hair weave.
He also damaged a glass shelving unit belonging to the victim, with the estimated damage being around $1,300.
The incident occurred at a residence on Calhoun Avenue back on May 25.
