The suspect in the deadly shooting of a 30-year-old man, who evaded police for over two weeks, is now in custody.
33-year-old Floydell Quinchard Smith faced murder charges in the death of Te’Vian Markez Williams on June 27 at the Callier Forest Apartments on Dodd Boulevard.
Smith was arrested in Dayton, Ohio.
Members of the US Marshall’s Office worked to track Smith’s location with the assistance of public tips and information.
He has been booked into the Montgomery County Jail in Dayton and awaits extradition to Floyd County.
