A residential fire in Kingston claimed one life Sunday.
According to Bartow County Fire and Emergency Services:
Firefighters were dispatched to 61A Shaw Street at around 11:58 p.m. and found the single-story wood-framed structure with heavy fire showing from the front of the residence.
Fire crews began to extinguish the fire from the outside and then made entry into the home where they located a person in the kitchen.
That person succumbed to the injuries sustained during the fire.
There were two other people at the home with one being transported to a local hospital for evaluation and the other being checked and released at the scene.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
