More school buses will be on the road Thursday morning as students in the Floyd County Schools System return to class.
Motorists are reminded that if you are traveling behind a school bus, to give yourself more room than you would if following a car.
It is illegal to pass a school bus that has its lights flashing and stop signs out.
It is also against the law to pass a stopped school bus on an undivided highway.
Lastly, be alert.
Children are often unpredictable and tend to ignore hazards.
Model parents and students are also being reminded of the new traffic flow pattern from Mango Road.
Floyd County Police have produced a video showing the changes.
Today is also the first day of school for Gordon County and Calhoun City students.
